Who We Are
Matropia was built by two women, Bethany Corbin and Dr. Claire Lunde, who know women's health from the inside — as patients, as professionals, and as people who got frustrated with the status quo. They believe informed consumers change markets because they've seen firsthand how much is at stake when women can't trust the products meant to support them.
What We Are
Matropia is a free platform that helps you search for, compare, and better understand femtech products and services. It was built to give consumers a clear, evidence-based way to choose products they can trust with their health. Not all femtech is worth your data or your money.
To evaluate and score femtech products and services, we use the SAFE Method, developed by Co-Founder Bethany Corbin and published in her most recent book, The Femtech Revolution.
SAFE stands for Security, Accuracy, Foundation, and Equity. The framework scores every femtech product from 0 to 100 across these four dimensions.
S — Security & Privacy
How well does the product protect your personal health data? We evaluate encryption standards, data sharing practices, privacy policies, and compliance with data protection regulations.
A — Accuracy
Is the product backed by scientific evidence? We assess clinical validation, peer-reviewed research citations, accuracy of health predictions, and transparency about limitations.
F — Foundation
What's the company's track record and expertise? We review team credentials, funding transparency, regulatory compliance, and organizational stability.
E — Equity
Does the product work for all bodies and identities? We evaluate inclusivity in design, diversity in research populations, accessibility features, and commitment to serving underrepresented communities.
Score Thresholds
Each dimension is scored 0–25. To reach a band, every dimension must meet the minimum requirement.

How We Make Money
We don't — not yet. Matropia is a passion project built by researchers and advocates who believe consumers deserve better information about the health technology they use every day.
We have no brand partnerships, no sponsored reviews, and no pay-for-placement. Every evaluation is independent and based entirely on publicly available evidence.
